Lorenzo de Leo is Managing Director 10xU, where he is responsible for the growth and expansion of 10xU in international markets. Lorenzo spearheaded the creation and development of Rokk3r’s 10xU courses providing education to entrepreneurs and companies globally. Lorenzo is a former Senior Program Manager and Business Developer at ARQUIMEA, where he led several projects in the technology transfer field (space, robotics, security, automotion, etc.). Lorenzo holds a Ph.D. in mathematics, and a master’s degree in mathematics, from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

Tell us a little bit about your journey and how you ended up on this career path?

I've always followed my passion. I was attracted to mathematics since I was a child and started a professional career in that field, then I pivoted my career because I was fascinated by the rise of exponential technologies and how they are impacting everybody's life. I started from scratch multiple times (new country, new language, new job) because I love to learn and I'm not afraid to push my limits.

What inspires you daily?

Everybody, no matter who they are and where they were born, can come up with an idea that can change the world. I want to unleash the global talent and empower people to dream big and make an impact.

What key qualities do you keep an eye out for when building strong teams that can succeed?

I apply the "MVP principle": a team needs to be minimal and viable. Surround yourself with less people with complementary talents, people with the flexibility of evolving into new roles as needed and driven by a common aspiration.
