Use Jobs To Be Done (JTBD) to Find the Best Market Opportunities for Corporate Innovation
Last week we had an amazing space with our venture design expert Juan Pablo Luchetti. He shared how to use Jobs To Be Done (JTBD) to comprehensively identify, map, and rate innovation/venture opportunities. In this session, he explained how we use JTBD methodology to achieve the following:
Scan your market to identify key JOB or OUTCOMES your target audience is trying to achieve.
Understand how well served and how important are this JOB or OUTCOMES to your target audience.
Map the JOBs or OUTCOMES showcasing the level of opportunity- Use need-based segmentation to find new audiences/segments.
Prioritize the JOB and Outcome list to create an innovation roadmap or an origination roadmap for your venture builder.
To showcase all of these points, he shared a walkthrough of how we do it and what to expect and a detailed case study where we helped an established startup (Rewire, acquired by Remitly) identify possible opportunities and lead on innovation for their industry.
